Frequently Asked Questions

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that outlines the expected cost of your healthcare services. Under federal law, healthcare providers are required to provide clients with an estimate of the expected charges for non-emergency services before care begins. This estimate includes the anticipated cost of services you receive from the provider.

Please note that this estimate is the self-pay rate - insurance companies set their own contracted rates for “in-network” services. For information about your own estimated coverage and responsibility, please contact the number on the back of your insurance card to verify your mental/behavioral health coverage. Coverage may vary with different insurance plans.

You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling an appointment, and you should receive a written estimate at least one business day before your scheduled service. If your final bill is at least $400 higher than the amount listed in your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge.

If You Are In Crisis

My practice is not a crisis service and is not able to provide immediate or ongoing emergency support.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, feel unable to stay safe, or anticipate needing frequent urgent support, this practice may not be the best fit for your current needs. I encourage you to connect with resources that can provide more immediate assistance.

If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please call 911 for emergency services or call/text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. You can also visit the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) website for additional mental health resources.
